The Vineyard
Hounds Run is a 90 hectare (230 acre) property with a 12 hectare (30 acre) NASAA Certified Organic vineyard located at the foothills of the Grampians just a short drive from Great Western Wine Village.
Our vineyard comprises of 6 hectares of Shiraz and 6 hectares Merlot. After purchasing the neglected vineyard in 2016, we have worked hard to improve the quality of the fruit with each season.

Black & Ginger Wines
Hounds Run Vineyard is also the home of Black & Ginger Wines. The Black & Ginger story begins with two friends; Hadyn Black, a wine maker working in Great Western and Darcy Naunton (the Ginger), an entrepreneur from the big smoke. Black & Ginger is a brand that pushes the Grampians wine region to its limits. We experiment with local and European varieties, methods and styles to give you something different.
